Twilight Thursday [8]: Breaking Dawn (2) Trailer

"I love you. It's a poor excuse for what I'm doing, but it's still true." Edward Cullen, Twilight, p. 366
Twilight Thursday is a feature I created to share my love of all things Twilight. I'm a huge fan of the books and movies, so every Twilight related topic I have to talk about will fall under this feature. Even though I vowed to never write a review of these books, I'm not opposed to sharing my opinions or defending the franchise I love. For any questions, comments, etc., about this feature or Twilight, feel free to leave a comment or email. I'm up for any/all Twi-Convos! This feature is not likely to be weekly.

Disclaimer: This feature is directed at Twilight fans. Whether you're a fan of the books and movies; or just the books; or just the movies... Twilight Thursday is a place for friendly conversation. Me, being such a big Twi-Hard, will be greatly offended if anyone leaves negative and hurtful comments in regards to any part of the Twilight franchise. Please be nice! Also, all posts will most likely contain spoilers. Please do not read anything written under the Twilight Thursday feature if you do not want anything spoiled. You've been warned

Hello, long time no see on this feature! I believe the last time I posted in here I was freaking out over Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 opening. Remember those days, back in November 2011? Seems so far, but here we are again preparing for the next (and last) installment of the Twilight Saga.

A few week's back Summit Entertainment revealed the first [official] posters for Breaking Dawn Pt. 2.
Each poster is tagged with 'Forever' and the film's release date: 11.16.12

These past couple of weeks have brought the Twilight fans many, many surprises. Starting with Entertainment Weekly's sneak peeks; and then their Friday cover(s) featuring Bella, Edward, Renesmee, and Jacob. However, before we even got to see these covers, EW teased the fans with THE VERY FIRST portrait of Mama Bella, Daddy Edward, and little Renesmee hiding behind them. My jaw hit the floor!

It's obvious Bella and Edward are very protective over little Renesmee! Me, like a lot of other fans are questioning the age/size of Renesmee. Most of the complaints have stated she looks too old. At first, I did too, but now I'm o-kay with it. I'm loving the dynamic between this Cullen family.

Friday EW released these two covers. They mailed me the one with Jacob on it. BOOOOO! Although I like it, I'd still prefer to have the one with Edward, Bella, and Renesmee. I'll be purchasing that one ASAP!

Hidden inside the magazine are six movie stills. Each one dipicting scenes from the upcoming movie. One that excites me the most is the arm wrestling match between Emmett and Bella. You remember that scene, right?! It's one of the funniest in all of the books.

Bella, Renesmee, Edward, and Jacob

Emmett (Kellan Lutz) & Bella Cullen (Kristen Stewart) arm wrestling
Kate & Tanya
Jane & Alec
I drew a blank on their names!!! Forgive me!
Eleazar & Carmen
Jacob and Renesmee. Must be when Bella leaves them at Charlie's house on Christmas
My favorite picture from the magazine is this one of Bella and Renesmee. After you've watched the teaser trailer, you'll see why. I love how protective Bella is over Renesmee. In the book, she did everything possible to keep her daughter safe; and now after seeing the picture/trailer, I can see that she's just as protective in the movie.

Lots of good stuff covered in this issue of EW. For the full article visit EW's website, or go pick up your copy today!

Now, on to the teaser trailers that were released this week! Tuesday brought us a ten second sneak of Wednesday's extended trailer. As much as I love these teasers, when is the ACTUAL trailer going to drop? Remember when The Hunger Games hit theaters and we got to see the fifteen second teaser of Bella running in the woods? Is Summit planning on slow torturing us until November?!

Released in March was our first look at Vampire Bella in action:

Tuesday's Teaser of a Teaser:

Wednesday brought us the full length teaser trailer. Summit Entertainment thought it would fun to release this on Edward Cullen's 111th birthday. So, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our favorite sparkly vamp, and an even bigger HAPPY TEASER DAY to all of the Twi-Hards out there.

Pause for screams...

And now I'm back! After hitting replay about a thousand times, and then analyzing every scene, I was able to form a coherent thought. One, this looks epic. Two, Bella and Edward are going to make perfect parents. Three, the new vampires are going to bring it. Four, Jacob is just as snarky. Five, the Volturi are just as evil. Six, Edward still makes me swoon. And Seven, vampire Bella gives me the chills. Hello last scene at the end!
Ending note: I've heard Bill Condon [director] has taken creative liberty with the battle scenes. If you've read the book, you know the battle scene in the clearing is less than climatic. However, if the rumors (and the scenes in the trailer) prove themselves right, Condon has created a very climatic battle scene. Just think of the fight between the Cullens and Werewolves in Breaking Dawn Pt. 1!

I'll be updating with more Twilight/Breaking Dawn goodies as soon as they are released. Until then, I hope you've enjoyed this look into the final film.
