I'm "borrowing" this idea from the E! show Fashion Police ... disclaimer: it airs every Friday night on the E network at 10pm PST/EST... the show discusses the weekly fashions of celebrities, and then chooses their favorite and least favorite looks of the week. After every big awards show, Fashion Police has a special episode in which they list their Best and Worst dressed nominees. It's THIS idea that I'm going to borrow and integrate on the blog.
The gist: As I'm reading this year I'm going to be naming my nominees for Best and Worst books of 2013. At the end of this year, I will choose my pick for Best and Worst book and announce them on December 31st.
This is kind of my way of keeping tabs on my favorite, and least favorite, books this year. Sometimes, I find it really daunting having to look at Goodreads and see which books I gave 5 star ratings to.
When I have a nominee in mind I will make a post for it. Also, all of the nominees with be kept in one post and a link will be on the sidebar for anyone who would like to see.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a fabulous idea! I dont't think I could do the worst though. I don't usually fully read a book if I'm not liking it, and I'd hate to judge a book when I haven't read it.
ReplyDeleteI feel you there! However, I always feel like a failure if I don't finish books, so I'm trying to read them all the way through and then write an honest review for them :)
